Welcome to The FOTS

The Friends of Twineham School (FOTS) is a parent-led organisation, set up to support the school through fundraising and by hosting social events which bring the children, parents, and staff together.

For the most part these aims go hand in hand, and our biggest fundraiser of recent years has been the annual Summer Fayre - where the children have enjoyed the usual bouncy castle and side stalls, and the dog show audience a slightly more unusual ‘sausage & spoon’ dog race!

We’re very fortunate to count the inimitable Tom Foolery amongst our parents, and he kindly hosts our children’s discos - including the increasingly competitive ‘Boys v Girls Dance Off’! It’s hoped these extracurricular activities will form fond memories, and enrich the school lives of our children.

The school’s recent 150th Anniversary was celebrated enthusiastically with the villagers, and broader community, with FOTS hosting a photographic exhibition in St. Peter’s Church, and a 20/20 cricket match versus Twineham & Wineham C.C.

As legacy projects to mark the occasion, FOTS funded the installation of a natural pond at the school, and instigated a sponsored cross country walk for the children - which, with generous assistance from Mid-Sussex Round Table, will provide a defibrillator for the school, churchgoers, and the village as a whole.

FOTS is a great forum to meet other parents, and promises a very warm welcome to all parents wishing and willing to contribute their energy, be it a little or a lot.
