At Twineham School, we promote the importance of good attendance. Through the use of Electronic Registration, we already have robust systems in place to monitor absence and punctuality.
To assist with attendance, we would ask that you:
1) Ensure your child is at School by 08.45 at latest 2) Avoid taking your child on holiday during term time
3) Arrange medical and other appointments outside of school hours
If your child is unable to attend school due to illness or some other unavoidable reason, please telephone the school as early as possible each day of the absence:-

All absences must be explained by parents/ carers. For four or more consecutive days of illness, medical evidence may be required (appointment card, copy of the prescription, hospital letter, etc.)
With the exception of part day or single day medical appointments, the Absence Request Form must be completed 14 days in advance of any planned absences. This form is available in hard copy from the school office and there is an 'Online Absence Request Form' on our website.
Where absence levels or continual lateness remain unacceptable, our Education Welfare Officer may become involved and ultimately, a referral may be made to the Local Education Authority.
